  3. Under Assets, click Add, and specify this information:
    1. Select the type of asset in the Asset Type list. Only asset types that are valid for the activity are displayed. Fields and grid change to reflect the selected asset type.

  5. When you're finished adding assets, click Select to add the assets to the group project.
The assets and their activity are displayed in the Group Project Items grid. You can also add existing work orders to the group project.
  6. Click Next.
  7. If task check boxes are displayed, select or clear them as required to indicate the tasks that will be performed in this group project, and click Next.
Task check boxes are displayed if the activity was associated with separate tasks during setup.
  8. Click Save.
The group project number and a success message are displayed. A work order is generated for each asset in the group project with the exception of assets assigned to existing work orders. Click the Group Project # link to view and edit the group project in the Group Project InfoViewer. Note that if the activities for the new work orders require entering a planned quantity amount, 1.0 is automatically entered in the Planned Qty field. The planned quantity is an estimate of how much work will be performed, such as the length of a water main that must be installed.
