Recording a failure

If a work order is created because of an asset failure, you can record the failure information in the work order. You can specify the type of failure that occurred and record additional information about the failure, such as the reason that the asset failed.

Note: The Add a Failure quick link and the Failures tab are displayed only if an asset has been specified for the work order. Also note that you can view graphs charting your agency’s asset failures in My Infor.
  1. Load the work order you want into the Work Order InfoViewer.
  2. Select the Summary tab.
  3. In the Quick Links panel, click Add a Failure.
If the Failures tab is present, you can also add a failure on this tab.
  4. Specify the code for the failure in the Failure field.
  5. Type any additional information about the failure in the Details field.
  6. Click Save.
Infor Public Sector adds the failure information to the work order. If the Failures tab isn't already present, Infor Public Sector also adds this tab to the InfoViewer. The failure is displayed in the grid on this tab. When showing a failure, Infor Public Sector replaces any comments that you entered with a Value link, which you can click to view the full text.
