Editing standard work order information

You can open the Standard Work Order InfoViewer by clicking the Name link for a standard work order on any page that shows this link. To edit the information in the InfoViewer, click Edit at the top of the viewer. When you're finished, click Update to save your changes.

The Standard Work Order InfoViewer shows information on five tabs:

  • The Information tab stores general work order information. Infor Public Sector will copy this information to all work orders that are created based on this standard.
  • The Asset tab is used to define an asset type or an individual asset for the standard work order.
  • The Comments tab is used to enter comments that will be displayed in all work orders that are created based on this standard.
  • The Activities tab is used to associate one or more activities with the standard work order. If you enter activity codes here, the standard work order will only be available when you create work orders for those activities. If a standard work order doesn't have any activity codes, it will be available for all activity types. You can also define a default standard work order for each activity in Activity Workflow.

    See Default standard work order.

  • The Details tab is used to include information from agency detail pages in a standard work order. Each field on a detail page is bound to a specific business object property. You can populate these fields in a standard work order by assigning values to the correct properties.

To add a property, click Add above the Details grid. Then click the popup button to the right of the Property field. This shows the Select Agency Component dialog box, which you can use to select the business object that contains the property you want to add.

When you select an object in the Enhancement Product Families tree and click Select, Infor Public Sector shows the Select Property dialog box, which lists the available properties in another tree. When you select a property and click Select, Infor Public Sector closes the dialog box and shows the property in the grid.

The last step is to enter the value you want to set for this property in the Value field. When you create a work order based on this standard work order, Infor Public Sector will enter this value in the field that is bound to the selected property.
