Specifying resource quantities

After adding resource types to your plan, you can specify the number of resources of each type that are available, such as 1000 hours of electrician labor time over the duration of the plan. You can specify the resource quantities for the entire length of the plan, as shown below, or you can specify the number of resources available for each month of the plan.

If you specify a total quantity for the plan, Infor Public Sector automatically calculates the amount per month. For example, if you need laborers to work 80 hours over the course of a two-month plan, Infor Public Sector enters 40 hours of work for each month of the plan. If you want to enter different amounts for each month, such as 50 hours for the first month and 30 for the second, you can enter the monthly quantities separately.

  1. Load the plan you want into the Resource Plan InfoViewer.
You access the Resource Plan InfoViewer by clicking the Plan link for the resource plan on any form that shows the link.
  2. On the Resources tab, enable editing in the grid and select the resource type that you want to specify the number of available units for.
  3. Type the number of available resources for the length of the plan in the Available field.
  4. Click Save.
Infor Public Sector shows a message that existing monthly values for the plan will be recalculated.
  5. Click Yes.
Infor Public Sector shows the number of resources available for the entire length of the plan. Infor Public Sector also calculates the number of resources available for each month of the plan by dividing the number of available units by the number of months in the plan. You can view and edit this information by clicking the resource’s Available link.
