Creating a new version of a parcel

You can create a new version of an existing parcel. For example, parcel lines may be redrawn or a parcel may be subdivided so that the same parcel ID now refers to a different piece of land. The previous parcel has significant historical information associated with it that must be maintained. The new parcel must have new permits and other government documentation associated with it. When you create a new version of a parcel, the most recent parcel is designated as the current parcel. Older parcel versions can’t be made current again, and only current parcels can be edited.

Note: The Action button is displayed only if you're working with the most current version of the parcel. The Current check box will also be selected.
  1. Load the parcel record you want into the Parcel InfoViewer.
  2. Click Action and select Create New Version.
A message is displayed indicating that creating a new version of the parcel will cause the active parcel to be expired.
  3. Click Yes.
Infor Public Sector shows a message indicating that a new version of the parcel has been created and increases the parcel's version number by one at the top of the viewer. If the old parcel doesn't already have an expiration date, Infor Public Sector assigns one using today's date. The Current check box remains selected for the new parcel and is cleared for the old parcel. All associated information from the old parcel, such as addresses, contacts, and zoning codes, is transferred to the new parcel. You can edit this information as required. Note that older parcel versions can't be edited or made current again.
