Contacts tree nodes

This table describes each node in the Contacts tree in the Contact and Property Browser.

Note: Some nodes are only displayed if your agency has purchased the respective Infor Public Sector product and if you have the necessary access rights to that product.
Node Description
Contacts (root node) Contains nodes for the contact records that match your search criteria. A contact is anybody that your agency associates with, such as a salesperson, representative, customer, or business client.
Contact (Sub-Node) Node for a contact.
Relationships Node for the other contacts with whom the selected contact has relationships, such as employees or family members.
Available Licenses Node for any licenses held by the selected contact, or by any child contacts. To make a child contact's licenses available to the parent, select the Also add as a licensed child check box when defining the contact relationship. For example, the licenses held by a contact's employees might be available to satisfy license requirements in CDR.
Addresses Node for an address record associated with the contact, such as the complete record of the address specified in the Contact Information record or an additional mailing address for the contact, such as a P.O. Box. When you click the node, information about the address is displayed on the right. This node shows the address's street number and street name.
Parcels Node for the parcels associated with the contact. A parcel is an area of land defined for administrative or tax purposes. To associate additional parcels with the contact, open a parcel record in the Parcel InfoViewer and add the contact. When you click the node, information about the parcel is displayed on the right. This node shows the parcel's identification code.
Properties Node for a property associated with the contact. A property is a piece of real estate owned by a customer that represents multiple addresses or parcels, such as an apartment complex or facility. Unlike a building or complex, a property is not an asset in your agency's inventory.
Accounts Node for the billing accounts associated with the contact.
Applications Node for the planning, project, building permit, and use permit applications associated with the contact, or for the child or parent applications of those applications. To associate additional applications with the contact, add the contact to an application using Start Application or Lookup Applications under Building Permits in the Infor Public Sector menu.
Banks Infor Public Sector shows bank accounts associated with the contact (and any of its contact information) on the right when agency staffers select the Banks node. The node also provides a hyperlink in the Account # column that opens the bank account into the Update Bank Account dialog. The Banks node includes detailed information such as a bank branch and routing numbers.
Cases Node for the cases associated with the contact. To associate additional cases with the contact, add the contact to a case using Start Case or Lookup Cases under Code Enforcement in the Infor Public Sector menu. This node may contain one or more "Case" nodes. A case is a record of a reported code violation and the actions taken to resolve it. When you click the node, information about the case's status and milestone is displayed on the right.
Escrow Node for the escrow accounts associated with the contact. To associate additional escrow accounts with the contact, add the contact to an account using Create Escrow Account or Lookup Escrow Accounts under CDR Common in the Infor Public Sector menu. An escrow account is an account that is used to pay application or case fees without having to wait for the processing and approval of other payment methods. When you click the node, account summary and balance information is displayed on the right. You can click the Account # link to open the Escrow InfoViewer. This node may contain one or more "Escrow Account" nodes.
License Applications Node for the license associated with the contact. To access the license InfoViewer click the hyperlinked license number. The node shows licenses, such as an application for a plumbing or electrical license, tracks a license through and after its approval process. This node also shows the license's number and type.
Service Requests Node for the service requests associated with the contact. To associate additional requests with the contact, add the contact to a request when submitting or editing a request under Customer Service in the Infor Public Sector menu. This grid shows the type of service request and the date and time it was recorded.
Assets Node for the assets associated with the contact. To associate an asset with a contact, use the Life History tab of the appropriate asset InfoViewer.
