Assigning resources to an employee

If your agency has purchased the Infor Public Sector Work Management product, you can assign agency resources, such as employees, equipment, and vehicles to an employee to manage. The employee can then use the Resource Manager to schedule resources for work, record the usage costs, and edit the resources’ information. Any resources that are assigned to the employee using the Resource Manager are also displayed under the Manage Resources node in the Employee Manager.

  1. Select Resources > Employee > Employee Manager.
  2. In the Employees tree, browse to the correct resource type node for an employee.
    The resource type node can be Employees, Plant Equipment, Fleet Equipment, or Vehicles.
  3. Click the "Resource Type" node.
  4. Click Add above the grid.
  5. Enter search criteria in the fields at the top of the dialog box to locate the correct resource.
  6. Click Search.
    Infor Public Sector shows a list of resources that match your search criteria.
  7. Select the resource that you want to add and click Select.

    Infor Public Sector shows the selected resource in the grid. Depending on the resource type, you can click the resource’s ID link to load it into the Employee InfoViewer or appropriate asset InfoViewer. This resource is displayed when the employee uses the Resource Manager.

    If the resource is already being managed by another employee, Infor Public Sector shows a message that the resource can’t be added.
