Cloning an employee record

If you want to create an employee record that shares information with an existing employee, you can duplicate the existing employee. When you begin creating the new employee, the record will already have the same department and some of the same budget information.

  1. Select Resources > Employee > Employee Manager.
  2. In the Employees tree, browse to the employee you want to base the new employee on.
  3. Right-click the "Employee" node and select Create Employee Based on [Name of Employee].
    The Create Employee Information dialog box is displayed, showing the same department and budget information as the employee you're basing the new employee on.
  4. Type an identification code for the employee in the Employee ID field.
  5. Specify the employee's name and any other employee information that you have.
  6. Click Save.
    Infor Public Sector closes the dialog box and shows the new employee in the Employees tree under the appropriate department and section, if you specified one.
