Resources overview

Resources in Infor Public Sector are a set of common administrative records that are shared by all modules.

These records describe the people and places that your agency deals with on a daily basis, and the documents and other files that your employees use. Having quick access to this basic information helps you perform the primary functions of Infor Public Sector. These records can be land-related, such as address and parcel records; people-related, such as employee and contact records; and business-related, such as manufacturer, budget, and escrow account records. Other types of records include Knowledge Base entries for use in Customer Service, attachments and code definitions for use throughout the system, and resource pools and usage groups for scheduling resources in Customer Service and Work Management.

The records in Resources are integrated with other modules. For example, employee records provide the pool of employee ID codes that you use in many other processes in Infor Public Sector, such as creating work orders and submitting service requests. You can also create and modify resource records in other parts of Infor Public Sector. Many forms, for example, have sets of Contact and Address fields that you can use to enter and edit existing contact and address records or create new ones on the fly.
