This update includes new REST map services as an alternative to the existing SOAP map services.

If you want to continue using the SOAP map services, then no action is required.

To opt in to the REST services, use the Configuration Editor applet in Infor Public Sector to upgrade a provider in the MapDrawerProviders configuration. You will see the new Upgrade option in the popup menu when you right-click a provider node.

Upgrading a provider

This upgrades the provider to use the REST services, and also fills in service details such as layer and field names in the MapDrawerProviders configuration. New nodes and attributes have been added to accommodate this information.

New nodes in MapDrawerProviders config

There is a similar mechanism in the MapDrawerDatasets configuration to synchronize the datasets for the default provider.

The upgrade to REST map services also provides new authentication options, including ESRI tokens with user name and password, OAuth with client ID and client secret, and long-lived tokens in configuration. Authentication settings are stored on the AUTHENTICATION node, which is a new child of a provider node in the MapDrawerProviders configuration.
