Stand-alone installation

If you installed AutoComplete as a stand-alone service, you must complete some additional steps to connect your Infor Public Sector site to the AutoComplete service. To complete these steps you will edit the AutoComplete configuration in the Infor Public Sector application directory.

On the Infor Public Sector server, open the Configuration Editor and ensure that the path to your Infor Public Sector application folder is displayed in the Application Directory field. Then select the AutoComplete configuration under Core in the Configurations tree.

When you open the AutoComplete configuration you'll see just one attribute, Enable, defined for the root AUTOCOMPLETE node. To enable AutoComplete, set the Enable attribute to True. To connect to your autocomplete service, add the Service Url attribute and enter the URL that you entered when installing the AutoComplete service.

Because the Infor Public Sector application directory and the AutoComplete directory both have their own copies of the AutoComplete configuration, you must enter the correct settings in each one. In general, the configuration in the AutoComplete directory controls the load and cache settings, and the configuration in the Infor Public Sector directory controls the browser-based settings.

See AutoComplete configuration.

Synchronization

Because the AutoComplete application directory in a stand-alone installation has its own copies of the Infor Public Sector assemblies and config files, you must keep it in sync with Infor Public Sector. To synchronize the AutoComplete service with Infor Public Sector, follow these steps:

  1. Copy the Enhancement directory from Infor Public Sector and paste it into the AutoComplete directory, overwriting the existing Enhancement directory.
  2. Copy all of the .config files in the root Infor Public Sector application directory, except web.config, and paste them in the root AutoComplete directory.
  3. Copy all of the directories within the Infor Public Sector config directory, except the AutoCompletedirectory. Paste these into the AutoComplete service’s config directory, overwriting the existing files.
  4. It may be necessary to edit directory paths in the config files you copied to point to the AutoComplete directory rather than the Infor Public Sector directory. This applies to the files in the config folder and in the root AutoComplete directory. In particular, you may need to edit the directory paths in the AutoComplete directory's copy of the Hansen8 configuration.

Remember to keep the AutoComplete service in sync if you later make changes to your Infor Public Sector application.
