Transferring parts

  1. Select Inventory > Transactions > Transaction Management.
  2. On the Transfer tab, click Create.
  3. In the Source Stock Area, Source Stock Location, and Part # fields, specify the part being transferred and the stock area and location where it is being transferred from.
    You can load information in more than one field simultaneously using the popup accessed from the Source Stock Location field or Part # field.
  4. In the Destination Stock Area and Destination Location fields, specify the stock area and location the part is being transferred into.
    The part must be assigned to both the source stock area and the destination stock area.
  5. Specify this information:
    Employee
    Specify the identification code for the employee initiating the transaction.
    Rec Employee
    Specify the identification code for the employee receiving the parts at the destination stock area.
    Date
    Specify the date of the transaction.
    Quantity
    Specify the number of parts to be transferred.
  6. Click Save.

    If the quantity of parts you specified is available in the source stock area, Infor Public Sector shows a summary of the transfer and a message that the transaction was created successfully.

    If there are not enough parts in the source stock area, Infor Public Sector gives you the option of canceling the transaction or transferring from another location.
