Recording your time

You can use the Action button to quickly record your time in the asset inspection, service request, or work order viewer.

The process depends on how your agency has configured the mobile app. In the Mobile configuration you can specify whether the Add Time function records labor usage or usage group usage. There are separate settings for asset inspections, service requests, and work orders. For example, you might record labor usage for service requests and usage group usage for work orders.

Note: This feature is only supported if you are using Infor Field Inspector with Infor Public Sector 11.2.0.1911 or later.

For work orders, the process also depends on whether the work order activity includes task-based resource usage estimates. If the app is configured to record group usage, and if the activity has estimates, you can choose whether you want to record usage based on a usage group or based on those estimates.

The mobile app can also be configured to record your time automatically. In that case the app will display the Labor Cost page or the Usage Group page when you stop the timer, or when you record results or close a record. The start and end dates are populated based on the times when you started and stopped the timer.
