Service Request Type

Service request types define the rules and procedures for responding to the various types of problems, complaints, or inquiries that your agency might receive. You can enter a variety of information when you create a request type, such as the type of inspector required, a standard resolution code, and the deadlines for requests to be scheduled, inspected, and resolved.

To automatically generate related records such as work orders or cases, you can define rules for when Infor Public Sector will create these records. For example, you may want to automatically add a work order when a service request is submitted for a broken water main. You can also add details and standard operating procedures, and you can set up email notifications to be sent to customers and employees concerning a request's progress.
