Creating a service request type

  1. Select Customer Service > Service Request Type.
  2. In the Service Request Type tree, right-click either the root node or a request category node and select Create a Request Type.
  3. Specify a name and description in the Request Type and Description fields.
  4. Use the tabs in the Request Type dialog box to define the characteristics of the request type.

    You can use the Information tab to record basic information about the request type.

    The Association tab is used to define rules for auto generating associated records such as work orders or inspections.

    The Details tab is used to add detail pages.

    The Standard Operating Procedures tab is used to record standard instructions for the request type.

    If you want Infor Public Sector to send notifications to customers and staff regarding service request progress, you can define email settings on the Email tab.

  5. Click Save.
    Infor Public Sector closes the Request Type dialog box and shows the new request type in the Service Request Types tree.
