Defining a renewing milestone

  1. Select Trade License > Setup > License Workflow.
  2. In the License Types tree, browse to the Milestones node for the correct license type.
  3. Right-click the Milestones node and select Create a Milestone.
  4. Type a name for the milestone in the Milestone field.
The name must be unique within the license type but can be reused in other license types.
  5. Under Next Milestone, specify the milestone that follows the current milestone within your licensing process.
The next milestone can be the calculating milestone, a milestone to indicate that the license has been closed, or some other milestone. If the next milestone will always follow the current milestone, specify the name of that milestone in the Default Next Milestone field. To calculate the next milestone based on a formula, specify the formula in the Next Milestone Formula field.
You must have already defined the next milestone.
  6. Specify any other information about the milestone.
You can indicate the license status that Infor Public Sector will assign to a license at this milestone, such as Active or None. You can select the type of status date that Infor Public Sector will use, such as Renewed or None. Among other properties, you can also define the order in which the milestone is displayed in the License Types tree using the Display Order field and any standard operating procedures that your agency should follow.
  7. Click Save.
Infor Public Sector closes the dialog box and saves the milestone to the license type. The new milestone is displayed in the License Types tree.
  8. Define the necessary supporting information for the milestone.
You can define condition types, fee types, review types, and details that will be added to a license when it reaches this milestone. You can also define the status checks that Infor Public Sector will run.
