Planning overview

Infor Public Sector handles your agency's planning processes from rezoning requests to approving plans for large-scale developments.

When a customer applies for plan approval, you fill out an application that records contact information for the applicant, the kind of work the plan proposes, and the location affected by the plan. Infor Public Sector then assigns an application number that you and others in your agency can use to track the application throughout the rest of your planning process.

Before approving the plan, your agency may require reviews, inspections, and hearings. You can use Infor Public Sector to schedule and record the results of these reviews, inspections, and hearings. You can place conditions on the application that must be satisfied before the planning process can continue. You can also establish planning conditions that will affect the planning application or any of its child applications once construction begins. Finally, you can calculate and charge fees.

Infor Public Sector provides several tools that you can use to track your planning applications. You can use the Planning lookups to search for applications, inspections, and reviews. After you locate the information you want, you can use InfoViewers to review and update existing applications and reviews. When working with planning applications, you can view an application's location on a map by clicking the Map Drawer button.
