Defining a specific application type inheritance rule

  1. Open the Inheritance Rules popup.
    Click the popup button to the right of the Inheritance Rule field in the Planning Condition dialog box when you create a planning condition.
  2. Click Add above the grid.
  3. Type a name for the new inheritance rule in the Title field.
  4. Select Specific Application Type from the Rule Type list.
  5. Click Add above the grid.
  6. From the Community Development Application Type list, select the product family that contains the application type you want.
  7. In the Application Type field, specify the type of application the inheritance rule will use.
  8. Click Save.
    Infor Public Sector saves the application type to the inheritance rule and shows it in the grid in the Inheritance Rule dialog box.
  9. When you're finished adding application types to the inheritance rule, click Save.
    Infor Public Sector saves the inheritance rule and shows it in the Inheritance Rules popup. You can now use it for any planning condition you create. Note that when you edit an inheritance rule, Infor Public Sector updates the rule in the Planning Condition Library and in every application that uses it.
