Waiving a penalty

You can waive any penalties associated with application fees. When you waive a penalty, Infor Public Sector creates an adjustment transaction to subtract the penalty amount from the fee, and adds a log entry to the associated account to explain why the penalty was waived. By default only penalties from the most recent penalty run are waived, but you can also waive all penalties that have been applied to a fee.

  1. Load the application you want in the Application InfoViewer.
  2. Select the Fees tab and the Fees subtab.
  3. Click the Waive Fee link above the All Fees grid.
  4. In the Waivable Fees grid, select each fee with a penalty you want to waive.
  5. Click Waive Penalty.
    The Waive Penalty button is only available if the selected fee has penalties.
  6. Specify the adjustment type to be used for the waived penalty in the Adjustment Type field.
  7. In the Log Type field, specify the type of log entry Infor Public Sector will add for the waived penalties.
  8. Select the Waive All Applied check box if you want to waive all penalties for the fee.
  9. Click Waive.
