Creating a bond

  1. Select CDR Common > Create Bond.
  2. Specify the type of bond in the Bond Type field.
  3. Specify the classification for the bond in the Bond Class field.
  4. In the Received By field, specify the identification code for the employee who took the bond.
  5. In the On fields, specify the date and time the bond was received.
  6. Under Bond Transaction, record the initial amount of the bond.
    1. Click Add above the grid.
    2. Select Deposit from the Item Type list.
    3. Specify the initial amount of the bond in the Amount field.
    4. In the Transaction Type field, specify a code indicating that this is an initial deposit transaction.
    5. Specify the date the transaction was completed in the Close Date field.
    6. Type any other information about the deposit in the Comments field.
    7. If the deposit applies to a particular application, specify that application's product family and number under Associated Application.
    8. Click Save.
  7. Under Bond Contact, add the contacts involved with this bond, if any.
    1. Click Add above the grid.
    2. In the Capacity field, specify the way in which the contact is involved with the bond.
    3. Specify the contact's information.
  8. Under Associated Application, add the applications that this bond applies to, if any.
    1. Click Add above the grid.
    2. From the CDR Product Family list, select the product family of the application that you want to associate.
    3. In the [Product] Application Number field, specify the identification number for the correct application.
    4. In the Comments field, type any other information about the relationship between the bond and the application.
    5. Click Save.
  9. Specify any other information about the bond. You can record the bond number or insurance policy number, and any additional comments.
  10. Click Save.
    Infor Public Sector saves the bond and shows a message that the bond has been added. The message includes the bond's tracking number, which you and other members of your agency can use to locate the bond. The message also provides links that you can use to create another bond using the same information or create a new bond from scratch. You can click the bond tracking number to load the bond into the Bond InfoViewer.
