Configuring the DigEplan integration

Infor Public Sector can integrate with DigEplan for electronic plan reviews.

The basic process is to first add the plans to the application as an attachment. If the integration is enabled, a record for the Infor Public Sector application is added to DigEplan, with a layer for each attachment. The layer stores the comments and other markup that are added in DigEplan.

Note: The actual attachment is still stored in the agency's EDM system, such as Infor Document Management. Only the markup is stored in DigEplan.

If the integration is enabled, the Review InfoViewer will show an additional button that the user can click to connect to DigEplan and view the plans that are available for the associated application.

To configure the DigEplan integration, use the DigEplan node under the General > Electronic Plans node in the CDR configuration.

First, select the Profile - Reviewer node under the DigEplan node and set the base service URL and the base application URL. This connects Infor Public Sector to your instance of DigEplan, and also enables the integration so the button appears in the Review InfoViewer. You can also use the Display Name attribute to specify the label that appears on the button. The default is DigEplan.

See CDR configuration.

Next, use the Attachment Caching node under the DigEplan node to specify which documents will be cached for use in DigEplan. This is based on a combination of an object moniker and a document type.

Out of the box, the Attachment Caching node has child nodes for the application objects in the Building Permits, Planning, Project, and Use Permits modules, such as Hansen.CDR.Building.BuildingApplication for building applications. Each object node has one or more document type nodes as children, specifying the document types that will be cached.

For example, if you add a "Building Plan" document type to the building application object, then building plans that are attached to building applications will be cached.
