Adding a cash register

  1. Select Cashiering > Cashiering Setup.
  2. In the Cashiering Setup tree, browse to the register group the register will belong to.
  3. Right-click the register group node and select Add Cash Register.
  4. Specify this information:
    Register ID
    Specify an identification code for the register.
    Register Type
    Specify the type of cash register.
    Tender Type Setup
    If the register uses different tender types than the ones defined for the register group, select Allowed for the allowed tender types. You can also specify which tender types to deposit in the cash drawer by selecting the Open Cash Drawer check boxes. To use a different merchant account for check or credit payments, select the account from the Merchant Account list.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Select the new register in the Cashiering Setup tree and click Configure Register Hardware to set up the register hardware.
