Payment arrangements

You can record and track arrangements that customers make with your agency to pay off delinquent balances, or to pay deposits on their accounts.

For example, a customer can arrange to pay the total amount due by a set date, or to pay weekly or monthly installments until the full amount is paid. You can also create an arrangement for an account that has no outstanding debt, called a payments only arrangement. You can use a payment arrangement template to set the terms of the arrangement, or you can define the terms manually.

Note: An account can only have one active payment arrangement at a time. If an arrangement already exists when you try to create a new one, you can unarrange the previous arrangement. Payment arrangements may also be disallowed for particular accounts.
