Creating a builder account

  1. Select Billing > Account > Create Builder Accounts.
  2. Specify the effective date of the accounts you're creating in the Account Open Date field.
  3. Select the account type that you want to use for the new accounts from the Account Type list.
  4. Select Company or Individual as the builder type, enter search criteria, and click Start Search.
Infor Public Sector searches your contact records based on the criteria that you entered and shows the results in the Builders grid. You can now select a contact to use as the builder. If you don't see the contact that you're looking for, or if the search doesn't return any results, you can add a new contact. Note that whether you select Company or Individual as the builder type, you're searching the same set of contact records. The builder type only serves to show the most relevant search fields for the contact that you're looking for.
  5. To select an existing contact, click the Select link in the first column of the grid.
Infor Public Sector shows the Builder Identification fields and the Contact Information grid. In the same way that you can select or add a contact in the Builders grid, you must select or add a contact information record in the Contact Information grid.
  6. To add a new contact, click the Add New Builder link below the grid and enter the contact information in the fields that are displayed.
  7. Click the Select Addresses button in the toolbar.
Infor Public Sector shows the Address Selection page. You can click Previous to return to the first page of Create Builder Account if necessary.
  8. Specify criteria to locate the correct addresses and click Search.
  9. In the Addresses grid, select each address for which you want to create a builder account.
  10. Click Generate Accounts.
Infor Public Sector generates accounts for the selected addresses and shows the results on three tabs.
    • The Summary tab shows the number of addresses that were selected, the number of accounts that were created, and the number of exclusions.
    • The Builder Accounts tab shows each new account. You can click a link in the Account # column to open an account in the Account InfoViewer.
    • The Address Exclusions tab shows addresses for which accounts weren't created. For each address, the Exclusion Reason column shows the reason an account wasn't created, such as no builder services at the address.
