Adding a new attachment

Use the Attachments grid throughout Infor Public Sector to attach documents to records. You can select a single file by specifying the file path, or you can drag and drop multiple files.

Note: By default, IIS (Internet Information Services) limits attachments to a maximum of 30 MB. The maximum can be increased by a system administrator to support larger attachments.
  1. Click Add above the Attachments grid.
  2. In the EDM list, select the EDM provider to which you're adding the attachment.
An EDM provider is used to communicate between Infor Public Sector and the EDM (electronic document management) system that stores the attachments. This might be a directory on a file server, or an external system such as Infor Document Management or Microsoft SharePoint.
  3. In the Document Type list, select the type of document that you're attaching.
The list displays the default document type for the selected EDM provider. You can select a different type, if others are available.
  4. Edit the attributes of the attachment.
The attributes grid displays the attributes for the selected document type. Click Edit Attributes to set the attribute values.
  5. Specify the file or files that you want to attach.
You can drag and drop one or more files into the area labeled "Drag and drop files here." Alternatively, you can specify the full path of a file that you want to upload in the File field.

If you select more than one file to attach, the document information that you specify, such as the title, description, and attributes, will be applied to all attachments.

The files that you select are displayed in the Files Ready for Upload grid. You can click the View link in the Document Information column to view details and to edit the properties of an attachment.

  6. Click Add.
Infor Public Sector uploads the attachment to the specified provider and attaches it to the current record.
