Trees

Infor Public Sector trees are graphical representations of the records that your agency processes. Trees consist of nodes, displayed as icons in the tree. Each node represents a specific piece of information. These nodes are organized into a hierarchical structure, with most nodes containing subnodes for related information. At the highest level of every tree is a root node that contains all the nodes in the tree.

For example, the Employees tree shows a hierarchy of your agency's employees. It consists of an Employees root node that contains nodes for your agency's departments; Department nodes that contain nodes for the employees in those departments; and "Employee" nodes that contain nodes for information in an employee record, such as the employee's qualifications, job classifications, and availability.

To browse a tree, click the left arrow or down arrow to the left of a node. Clicking the left arrow expands a node, showing its subnodes. Clicking the down arrow collapses the node, hiding its subnodes.

Depending on the tree and your access rights, you can create, change, and delete certain information in the tree by right-clicking a node and selecting a task. When you click a node, information about that node may be shown on the right. If there are search fields above a tree, you can enter search criteria to locate specific nodes in the tree.
