Inspection types

Inspection types are the kinds of inspections that your agency performs on its assets, such as brake inspections for a fleet of vehicles, pavement condition inspections, or visual inspections of sewer mains.

An inspection type typically consists of a unique identification code, a short description, and a list of associated indexes. An index is a condition rating of an asset calculated based on observations or other data recorded in an inspection.

Inspections can include detail pages to record personalized information defined by your agency. You can also record the presence and severity of defects, or observations, located during the inspection.
