Creating a group inspection

  1. Select Asset Management > Assets > [Asst Module].
  2. On the correct asset type tab, under Asset Inspections, click Create Group Inspection.
  3. If the correct asset type isn't displayed, select it from the Asset Type list.
  4. From the Inspection Type list, select the category for the type of inspections you want to create.
  5. In the Inspection Type field, enter the identification code for the type of inspections you want to create.
  6. Under Description and Comments, enter any other information about the inspections.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Click Add above the grid.
    Infor Public Sector shows the Add New Inspection dialog box. You use this dialog box to enter basic inspection information and select the assets that will be inspected.
  9. In the fields at the top of the dialog box, enter basic information about the inspections, such as the scheduled date and the assigned employee.
  10. Select the assets that you want to create inspections for.
  11. Click Add above the Assets grid.
  12. Enter search criteria at the top of the dialog box to locate the assets that you want to create inspections for.
  13. Click Search. Infor Public Sector shows a list of assets that match your search criteria.
  14. Select all the assets that you want to create inspections for. Note that you can open an asset into the asset InfoViewer by clicking its Asset ID link.
  15. Click Select.
    Infor Public Sector closes the dialog box and shows a list of all the assets that you selected.
  16. Click Save when you've finished selecting the assets to be inspected.

    Note: You can also add existing inspections to a new group inspection.

  17. Click Save.
    Infor Public Sector shows the group inspection number and a message that the group inspection was created successfully. Infor Public Sector generates an inspection for each asset you selected. You can click the Group Inspection # link to view and edit the group inspection in the Group Inspection InfoViewer.
