Adding a Micro Focus Content Manager provider
To add a Micro Focus Content Manager provider, specify the service URL and the credentials for authentication. There are two ways to authenticate: Windows impersonation and OAuth2. To use OAuth2, select the Enable OAuth2 using grant type Resource Owner Credentials check box. Otherwise, Windows impersonation will be used.
- Select Resources > Attachments > EDM Setup.
- Click Add above the EDM Providers grid.
- Specify this information:
- Display Name
- Specify a display name for this provider.
- Reference ID
- Specify a reference ID for the provider. This is an internal identifier for the provider, so it can be anything you choose.
- Provider Type
- Select Micro Focus Content Manager.
- Default Document Type
- Specify the default document type for the provider. The default document type will be used for all attachments added to this provider, unless the user manually selects a different document type.
- Ensure Unique File Name
- Indicates whether file names within this provider must be unique.
- Load automatically
- Select this check box if you want attachments from the provider to load automatically when an Attachments grid is displayed. Otherwise users must click Inquire to load attachments.
- Service Url
- Specify the service URL for Micro Focus Content Manager.
- Windows Imp. User Name
- If you're using Windows impersonation for authentication, specify the user name.
- Windows Imp. Password
- If you're using Windows impersonation for authentication, specify the password.
- Enable Basic Auth Header (Windows Authentication Only)
- Select this check box to use basic authentication rather than impersonation for this provider. This only applies if you're using Windows authentication.
- Enable OAuth2 using grant type Resource Owner Credentials
- Select this check box if you want to use OAuth2 for authentication. If you're using OAuth2, you must specify the OAuth2 grant type, authorization server URL, client ID, secret, user name, password, scope, and resource in the fields provided.
- Document Type Associations
- List the document types that are managed by this provider.

- Click Save.
- Set up access control for the provider and the associated document types.
