Activating Billing features

Feature switches are designed to conserve system resources by only activating the billing features that an agency uses. For example, if your agency doesn't allow bill payments by direct debit, you can leave the direct debit feature inactive. Infor Public Sector will skip this functionality in all bill and payment processing.

Inactive features are excluded from batch processing tasks, but they aren't necessarily hidden in the user interface. For example, if you don't activate the Bill Messages feature, the Bill Run Schedule task won't add any messages to the bills it generates, but the Messages tab is still displayed in Bill Type Setup.

  1. Select Billing > Setup > General > Feature Switches.
  2. Click the Activate link to the right of each feature that you want to use
  3. Click Save.
    Infor Public Sector removes the link and indicates that the feature has been activated. Note that features can't be turned off again once they've been activated.
