Budget segments

You can use Infor Public Sector to set up your agency's numbering system and define each segment in a budget number. You can define the length of a segment, its purpose, its position within the budget number, and any character used to separate the segment from the segment that follows.

Each segment in a budget number typically has a specific purpose, and usually refers to key account information, such as a department, fiscal year, expense category, or asset type.

You can define up to 15 budget number segments. You cannot add, modify, or delete segments after you've set up budget numbers that use them. The first segment can have a maximum of 50 characters. All other segments can have a maximum of 10 characters.
