Unlocking a user's account

If you have specified a maximum number of login attempts on the Password Settings page, Infor Public Sector will keep track of the number of times a user enters the wrong password, and will lock the user's account when the maximum number of login attempts is reached. If you have the Administrate Passwords permission in Access Control, you can unlock a user's account by entering the user's existing password on the Change Password page.

You can also change the user's password, or allow the user to select a new password when signing in.

  1. Select System > User Information > Change Password.
  2. Enter your password in the Password field.
  3. Specify this information:
    User ID
Specify the ID of the user whose account is locked.
    New Password
    Enter the user's current password.
    Confirm Password
Enter the user's current password again.
  4. Click Save.
The user's account is now unlocked. The user can sign in using his or her existing password.
