Creating a web user for a contact

You can use the Contact InfoViewer to create a Dynamic Portal user profile for an existing contact. The web user is associated with a contact information record, so you must first open an existing contact information record or create a new one.
  1. Open the correct contact in the Contact InfoViewer.
  2. Select the Contact Information tab.
  3. In the Contact Information grid, either edit an existing contact information record or create a new one.
  4. Ensure that the contact information includes an email address. The email address is required to create a web user.
  5. In the Contact Information window, click the Action button and select Create Web User.
  6. Specify the user name in the User Name field.
  7. Specify the user's security question and answer in the Secret Question and Answer fields.
  8. Select the Reset Password on Login check box if you want to require users to reset their passwords when they first log in to Dynamic Portal.
  9. Click Save.
