Application site information

Every application has a primary site, and can also have one or more associated sites and linked sites.

The primary site is the address, asset, parcel, or property that the application is created for, such as the address of a new construction. The primary site is displayed at the top of the Application InfoViewer.

Note: Assets can only be used as sites if the Enable Asset Sites check box is selected in Building Permits System Setup.

Associated sites are other addresses, parcels, properties, or assets that are linked to the application. To add associated sites, use the Associated Sites grid on the Sites tab of the Application InfoViewer.

Linked sites are addresses, parcels, properties, or building assets that are linked to the application's primary site. For example, an address might be linked to the parcel that it sits on. An application's linked sites are displayed in the Linked Sites grid on the Sites tab of the Application InfoViewer.

Note: An application's linked sites only include sites that are associated with the primary site at the time that the primary site is specified. To maintain historical accuracy, any later changes are not reflected in the linked sites. For example, suppose the primary site is an address that has one linked parcel. If you later remove the link between the address and the parcel in the Address InfoViewer, the application's linked sites will still include the parcel.
