Bankruptcy

After you've recorded a bankruptcy for an account, Infor Public Sector shows a Review Bankruptcy link on the Maintenance tab of the Manage Account page.

Clicking this link shows the Bankruptcy InfoViewer, which you can use to review the bankruptcy information, grant or deny the bankruptcy, and discharge bankrupt debts. You can also open the Bankruptcy InfoViewer by clicking the bankruptcy link in the Delinquency panel on the Summary tab, or by clicking the bankruptcy number in the Bankruptcy grid on the Delinquency tab.

See Recording a bankruptcy.

When the bankruptcy is first recorded, Infor Public Sector shows three links in the InfoViewer: Cancel Bankruptcy, Deny Bankruptcy, and Grant Bankruptcy. Cancel Bankruptcy cancels the bankruptcy process and returns the account to its previous state. Deny Bankruptcy indicates that the bankruptcy wasn't accepted, and Grant Bankruptcy indicates that the bankruptcy was accepted and finalizes the bankrupt state for the account.

After a bankruptcy has been granted, the InfoViewer shows a Discharge Debt link that can be used to discharged bankrupt balances. To discharge debts, click this link, specify the discharged amount and the reason, and click Save. Infor Public Sector discharges the balances using the adjustment type specified in Bankruptcy Setup. The customer might also set up a payment arrangement to pay off the remaining bankrupt balance.
