Contact language

The Language list in the Contact InfoViewer specifies the language in which the contact would like to receive correspondence.

You can set up your correspondence output processes, such as bill output, to generate correspondence in the contact's preferred language.

Note: In older releases the contact language setting used an enumeration (1 for English and 2 for Spanish) and was stored in the CNTCTID.CORRLANGUAGE column in the database. Starting with version 11.0, the language setting uses the Language code definition and is stored in the CNTCTID.LANGUAGE column. If you're upgrading from an older release, you may need to update your correspondence output to reference the correct column.

Out of the box, the Language list shows two languages: English and Spanish. To add additional languages, use the Language code definition, which can be found under Resources in Code Definition Management.
