Adding a field mapping

  1. Create a new GIS mapping, or edit an existing mapping in the GIS Mapping InfoViewer.
  2. In the IPS Fields tree, select the property of the Infor Public Sector component that you want to map.
  3. In the GIS Fields tree, select the field in the GIS layer that corresponds to the selected Infor Public Sector property.
  4. Click the Sync Direction button that indicates the direction in which you want to synchronize data for this field mapping.
You can synchronize data from Infor Public Sector to the GIS database, from the GIS database to Infor Public Sector, or in both directions. If data is synchronized in both directions, the process depends on which database was changed since the last synchronization. When a change is detected in either database, the corresponding record in the other database will be updated as well. If both have changed, then the conflict resolution rule will be applied.

When you click a Sync Direction button, the mapping is added to the Field Mappings grid.

  5. If the mapped field is a primary identifier for records of this type, select the check box in the Business Key column of the Field Mappings grid.
At least one field mapping within each GIS mapping must be marked as a business key. We recommend that you include business key mappings for all primary key fields in Infor Public Sector, such as AddressKey and AssetKey.
  6. Save the GIS mapping.
