Installing Open311

  1. Run Setup.exe in the root of the Web Services ISO to open the installer.
  2. On the first screen, click Install.
  3. On the second screen, enter your Infor Public Sector license key.
Enter the product key that you received from Infor in the fields provided. By default, the installer uses a secure Internet connection to import your licenses. Alternatively, if you previously downloaded your license file, select License File and click Browse to open the license file. Then click Next.
Note: The option to import licenses through a secure Internet connection is not supported in versions before Infor Public Sector 11.2 202101. For older versions you must download the license file.
  4. In the Setup tree, click Install Open311 and select Install.
  5. In the Installation Folder field, enter the path to the folder where Open311 will be installed.
  6. If this is a shared installation, enter the path to the Infor Public Sector application directory in the IPS Application Path field.
You can use a shared installation if you're installing Open311 on the same server as Infor Public Sector. Shared installation means Open311 will use the assemblies and config files in the Infor Public Sector application directory. If you're installing Open311 on a separate server, the Open311 directory will have its own copies of the assemblies and config files.

    See Stand-alone installation.

  7. Enter the data provider that Open311 will use.
    1. Click the Add button next to the Data Provider field.
    2. Select Oracle or SQL Server from the Type list.
    3. Specify a name for the data source in the Description field.
    4. Enter your database settings.
For an Oracle database, specify the name of the Oracle host server, the service name for the database, the port number, and the user name and password.
For a SQL Server database, specify the name of the database server, the database name, and the administrative user name and password.
    5. Click OK.
  8. If this is a stand-alone installation, enter the agency encryption key for your Infor Public Sector site in the Encryption Key field.
Each agency is randomly assigned a unique encryption key on installation or upgrade to Infor Public Sector 8.5.0 or later. To find your encryption key, open the Hansen8 configuration in the Configuration Editor and select the Agency node.
  9. In the IPS Login and Password fields, enter a valid user name and password for the selected Infor Public Sector data provider.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Click Next.
The installer shows the final screen in the installation process, and indicates that the product is ready to install.
  12. Click Install.
The installer shows status messages as it completes the installation process. When installation is complete, the installer indicates whether the process was successful, and whether there were any errors. You can click View Log to open the installation log in the Hansen Log Viewer.
