Adding a cash register

Note: When defining a cash register, you must perform these steps on the machine that will be used for the register.
  1. Select Cashiering > Setup.
  2. In the Cashiering Setup tree, browse to the register group the register will belong to.
  3. Right-click the register group node and select Add Cash Register.
  4. Specify the identification code for the register in the Register ID field.
  5. Specify the type of cash register in the Register Type field.
  6. Specify any other information about the register.
    If you want the register to use different tender types than the ones defined for the register group, select Allowed for the appropriate tender types under Tender Type Setup. You can also specify which tender types to deposit in the cash drawer by selecting the appropriate Open Cash Drawer check boxes. To use a different merchant account, select the account from the Merchant Account list.
  7. Click Save.
    Infor Public Sector adds the new register to the Cashiering Setup tree under the selected register group.
  8. Select the new register in the Cashiering Setup tree and click the Configure Register Hardware link at the bottom of the page to set up the register hardware.
