Defining an inspection detail

You can define an inspection detail for an application type or for a specific milestone.

  1. Select Use Permits > Setup > Application Workflow.
  2. In the Application Types tree, browse to the inspection details for the correct application type or milestone.
  3. Click Add above the Inspection Detail Types grid.
  4. Type a brief description of the inspection detail in the Description field.
  5. Specify the type of inspection for this inspection detail in the Inspection Type field.
  6. In the Name of Detail Page field, load the detail page that this detail will use.

Click the popup button to the right of the Name of Detail Page field.

    • To use a new page, select Create New Page, click Next, and create your page in the Page Builder.
    • To use an existing page, select Use Existing Page, select the correct detail page from the Inspection Detail Types popup, and click Select.

In the Name of Detail Page field, Infor Public Sector shows the detail that you either created or selected. After a page is displayed in this field, you can modify it by clicking the field's popup button again, selecting Edit Existing Page, and clicking Next. Infor Public Sector loads the detail page into the Page Editor where you can modify it. When you're finished, click Save. You can also delete a detail page by clicking the field's popup button, selecting Delete Page, and clicking Next. Note that you can modify and delete detail pages only if no applications currently include details based on those pages.

  7. Specify the date members of your agency can start using the detail in the Effective Date field.
  8. Specify any other information about the inspection detail.
    • You can use the Add On Condition Formula field to specify a formula that calculates whether the detail is added to an inspection. If the Add On Condition is satisfied, or if no Add On Condition is specified, Infor Public Sector adds the detail.
    • You can use the Display Order field to indicate the order in which the detail should be displayed in relation to other inspection details.
  9. Click Save.
Infor Public Sector shows the Access Group Name dialog box, which you can use to indicate the name that you want Access Control to use for this detail. The name of the detail is displayed in the field by default.
  10. Optionally, specify a new name for the access control item in the Access Group Name field.
  11. Click Save.
  12. When you're finished defining inspection details, click Close and set up access control for each detail.
