Adding a fee type to an application type

Infor Public Sector defines fee types in a central Fee Library so that they can be reused across multiple application types. To add a fee type to an application type, you specify the fee code and description and the dates Infor Public Sector will use the fee. Note that you can also add fees to a milestone.

  1. Select Project > Setup > Application Workflow.
  2. In the Application Types tree, browse to the fees for the correct application type.
  3. Click the Initial Deposit, Additional Deposit, At Cost , or Standard node under Fees.
  4. Click Add above the grid.
  5. Specify the fee code and fee description.
  6. Select the Pay in Portal check box if you want to allow customers to pay the fee in Infor Rhythm for Civics.
Note: This check box is not available for at cost fees.
  7. If you want to add the fee at a specific milestone, specify that milestone in the Add On field.
If you leave the Add On field empty the fee type will not be added automatically during the permitting process, but it can be added manually or as a maximum inspection fee. If you specify a milestone, you can also use the Add On Condition field to specify a formula that calculates whether the fee type is added at that milestone.
  8. In the Use From Date and Use To Date fields, specify the period during which the fee is effective for the application type.
  9. For initial deposit fees, specify the appropriate milestones in the Additional Deposit Milestone and Pay Fees Milestone fields.
You can specify a milestone in the Additional Deposit Milestone field to require an additional deposit when the account gets too low to pay at cost fees. When the application is charged a fee that exceeds available deposit funds, Infor Public Sector holds the application at this milestone until the additional deposit is paid. You can also specify a milestone in the Pay Fees Milestone field to direct Infor Public Sector to attempt to pay all accumulated at cost fees using deposit funds if the Auto Pay option is set for those at cost fees.
  10. Click Save.
