Constraints

Infor Public Sector uses constraints to define the behavior of the information that can be recorded for a work order, such as whether certain information is required or display-only.

For example, you can make the Address and Asset fields required for the first milestone of an activity and make the Close Information fields required for the last milestone.

Constraints in Activity Workflow define the basic characteristics of the information that can be recorded for a work order, such as whether certain information is required or display-only. For example, you can make the Address and Asset fields required for the first milestone of an activity and make the Close Information fields required for the last milestone.

Constraints can be defined for specific milestones or for an activity without milestones. You can use the Activity Constraints node in the Activities tree to define the constraints for an activity, and the Constraints node for a milestone to define constraints for that milestone.

Each item in the Activity Workflow grid specifies a type of information that can be recorded for a work order. When you create an activity or a milestone, all the constraints are set to their default behaviors.
