Activities tree nodes

This table describes each node in the Activities tree:

Node Description
Activities (root node) Contains nodes for the activity categories and activities that your agency uses.
"Activity Category" node "Activity Category"

Node for a category of activities. Activity categories help you organize related activities. For example, a category called Vehicles could contain activities for oil changes, tune-ups, and tires rotations. When you click this node, a grid is displayed on the right showing the activities in the category. You can click the Activity link to view and edit an activity. This node shows the name of the activity category and may contain one or more of these two nodes: "Activity Category" and "Activity."

"Activity" node "Activity"

Node for an activity that your agency uses. When you click this node, information about the activity and the standard operating procedure is displayed on the right. You can click the Activity link to view and edit the activity. This node shows the name of the activity code and contains these five nodes: Supported Assets, Activity Tasks, Activity Details, Activity Constraints, and Milestones.

Supported Assets Node for the assets that the activity can be performed on. These assets will be available for selection when you create a work order. When you click this node, a grid is displayed on the right listing the activity's supported assets.
Activity Tasks Node for the tasks that may be required for the activity. When you create a work order for the activity, you have the option of selecting which tasks to include. You must accomplish each individual task before you complete the activity. When you click this node, a grid is displayed on the right listing the activity's tasks.
Activity Details Node for the details that are associated with the activity. Detail information is displayed on detail pages that may be displayed when creating work orders and on the Work Order InfoViewer. When you click this node, a grid is displayed on the right listing the activity's details.
Affected Indexes Node for the activities affected indexes. An affected index is an asset inspection index that you want to recalculate when a work order for the activity is completed.
Activity Constraints Node for the activity's constraint items. When you click this node, a grid is displayed on the right listing the configurable constraints.
Milestones Node for the milestones that make up the activity's work process. This node may contain one or more "Milestone" nodes.
"Milestone" node "Milestone"

Node for a milestone for an activity. This node shows the name of the milestone and contains these four nodes: Tasks, Constraints, Details, and Status Checks.

Tasks Node for the tasks that take place at this milestone. A task must be defined for the activity before you can add it to a milestone. When you click this node, a grid is displayed on the right listing the tasks to be performed at the milestone.
Constraints Node for the milestone's constraint items. When you click this node, a grid is displayed on the right listing the configurable constraints.
Status Checks Node for the status checks that are defined for a milestone. When you click this node, a grid is displayed on the right listing the status checks for that milestone.
