Creating an asset group

  1. Select Asset Management > Asset Grouping > Create Asset Group.
  2. Specify a name for the new asset group in the Group ID field.
  3. Type a description of the group in the Description field.
  4. Click Add above the grid.
  5. Enter search criteria at the top of the dialog box to locate the assets that you want to add to the group.
  6. Click Search.
    Infor Public Sector shows a list of assets that match your search criteria.
  7. Select all the assets that you want to add to the group.
  8. Click Select.
    Infor Public Sector closes the dialog box and shows a list of all the assets that you selected for the asset group.
    Note: You can change the order of the assets by reordering the records in the grid. The order determines the order in which Infor Public Sector will generate work orders for the assets in a group project. You can also click an Asset ID link to open an asset in its InfoViewer, or click the Map Drawer button Map Drawer button on the toolbar to select the assets for the group from the map.
  9. Click Save.
    Infor Public Sector saves the asset group and shows a link that you can use to open your new asset group in the Asset Group InfoViewer. Three other links are also displayed that you can use to create another asset group, to create a group project for your new asset group, or to create a group inspection for your new asset group.
