Adding a new inspection to a group inspection

You can use the Group Inspection InfoViewer to add one or more new inspections to an existing group inspection. You select additional assets of the same type for which the group inspection is created, and Infor Public Sector creates a new inspection record for each asset you have selected.

  1. Load the group inspection you want into the Group Inspection InfoViewer. You access the Group Inspection InfoViewer by clicking the Group Inspection # link for the group inspection on any form that shows the link.
  2. Click Action and select Add New Inspection.
    Infor Public Sector opens the Add New Inspection dialog box. You use this dialog box to enter basic inspection information and select the assets that will be inspected.
  3. In the fields at the top of the dialog box, enter basic information about the inspections you are adding, such as the scheduled date and the assigned employee.
  4. Under Assets, click Add above the grid.
  5. Enter search criteria at the top of the dialog box to locate the assets that you want to create inspections for.
  6. Click Search.
    Infor Public Sector shows a list of assets that match your search criteria.
  7. Select all the assets that you want to create inspections for.
  8. Click Select.
    Infor Public Sector closes the dialog box and shows a list of all the assets that you selected.
  9. Click Save.
    Infor Public Sector creates a new inspection for each asset you selected, closes the dialog box, and shows the new inspections in the grid. You can click an Inspection Number link to open an inspection into the appropriate Inspection InfoViewer or an Asset link to open an asset into the asset InfoViewer.
