Creating a simple asset

  1. Select Asset Management > Assets > [Asset Module].
  2. On the correct asset type tab, under Asset Inventory, click Create.
  3. Specify an identification code for the asset in the ID field.
  4. Specify the asset's address and any other information about its location.
    Using the address fields, you can specify an address, intersection, block, or range of addresses. You can provide additional information about the location in the Location field, such as directions to or a description of the address. Under Location Information, you can enter information to further indicate the asset's location, such as map coordinates or a parcel ID.
  5. Provide any other information that is required to identify or manage the asset.
    Infor Public Sector shows different options depending on the type of asset record you're creating. You can add warranties, list the contacts that are responsible for the current asset, and associate related parts, safety messages, and other assets.
  6. Click Save.
