Spot inspections

A spot inspection is an on-site inspection that a maintenance worker or crew can perform while completing a work order.

The result of each spot inspection is a single observation or measurement, such as the RPM of a motor or the water pressure in a hydrant.

You use Spot Inspection Type to define the various types of spot inspections that can be performed.

When you associate spot inspection types with an activity, Infor Public Sector automatically adds those spot inspections to all work orders created for the activity.

Adding spot inspections to an activity is optional, because you can also add spot inspections to work orders manually. You must enable the spot inspection functionality for each activity for which you want to allow spot inspections, even if you don't add any spot inspection types to the activity. To enable spot inspections for an activity, select the Enable Spot Inspections check box.
