Work Management overview

Infor Public Sector provides tools to generate and track work orders for the assets in your inventory, from the time the work order is created to the time it is completed.

When an asset requires maintenance or stops functioning properly, you can create a work order that specifies the type of maintenance or repair work that is necessary. You can also schedule the work order and assign it to an employee. Infor Public Sector then assigns a work order number that you and others in your agency can use to track it through its progress. After the work order is created, you can record information about the failure experienced by the asset, if one occurred, and the resources used for the repair. You can place conditions on the work order that must be satisfied before the work order can progress. You can also create a group of work orders for a group of assets that require the same kind of maintenance.

Infor Public Sector provides several tools that you can use to track work orders. You can use the Work Order lookup to search for work orders. After you locate the information you want, you can use the Work Order InfoViewer to update the work order. When working with work orders, you can view a work order's location on a map by clicking the Map Drawer button Map Drawer button on the toolbar.
