property

(1) A characteristic of an item. For example, if you were describing a bicycle, you could define properties for its color, number of wheels, number of gears, and type of breaks. In Infor Public Sector, the columns in a table are treated as properties of a business object. You define those properties, and their constraints, in the Schema Manager. (2) Real estate owned by a customer, such as an apartment complex, high rise, or sporting complex. A property can be associated with multiple addresses and parcels. Unlike a building, complex, or other structure in your asset inventory, a property can be evaluated for tax purposes and is not considered to be an asset in your agency's inventory.
