Creating a roadway

A roadway in Infor Public Sector is defined as a length of road identified as a single unit, such as a turnpike or a segment of an interstate. You can create roadway asset records, define their length, and attach features to them.
  1. Select Asset Management > Assets > Roadway.
  2. On the Roadway tab, under Asset Inventory, click Create.
  3. Type an identification code for the roadway in the Roadway ID field.
  4. Select the type of roadway you're creating from the Roadway Type list.
  5. Specify the starting measurement for the roadway in the Roadway Start field and select the unit of measure from the "Unit of Measure" list.
Although most roadways start at 0.00, you can specify a non-zero starting distance. For example, if your agency is only responsible for maintaining a portion of a roadway, you could use the Roadway Start field to specify the start of that portion as measured from the beginning of the entire roadway.
  6. Specify the length of the roadway in the Roadway Length field and select the unit of measure in the "Unit of Measure" list.
  7. Specify the direction of the roadway in the Roadway runs from ___ to ___ lists.
The directions that you specify are for your agency's information only and will not affect how the roadway is displayed in the Roadway InfoViewer.
  8. Type a description of the roadway in the Roadway Description field.
  9. Click Finish.
Infor Public Sector creates the roadway record and closes the Create Roadway form. You can locate the roadway using the Roadway Lookup and then click its Roadway ID link to load it into the Roadway InfoViewer.
